Ohh, Jimbo, you have problems with obscure Smiths lyrics - I can quote the track 'Hoop Skirt' from Amoeba cassette 'Wet Again'* quoting the Smiths -- 'Under the iron bridge we kissed'
Funny how my memory skips while looking over manuscripts of unpublished rhyme, the food of love is now turned to chyme.
Ahh I can remember friends poetry from 1986 but I cant remember to send my niece a birthday present, oh the inhumanity of it all.
* ‘Or was it pink and pearls’?

Well, those lyrics aren't obscure to me...
Although I should point out that the first half of the line you quoted is from Simon and Garfunkel's Hazy Shade of Winter and of course the next bit refers to a quote from Shakespeare. "Chyme" is about the only original word in it.
What's that line about "he thought I would ruin his Monaro"?
I believe Hoop Skirt also stole the line "with your pants round your knees", but Google doesn't bring up anything for the line +smiths
