Obscure Lyrics – I’ll give you obscure!
Ohh, Jimbo, you have problems with obscure Smiths lyrics - I can quote the track 'Hoop Skirt' from Amoeba cassette 'Wet Again'* quoting the Smiths -- 'Under the iron bridge we kissed'
Funny how my memory skips while looking over manuscripts of unpublished rhyme, the food of love is now turned to chyme.
Ahh I can remember friends poetry from 1986 but I cant remember to send my niece a birthday present, oh the inhumanity of it all.

..its so lonely on a limb
So, Its been twenty years this month (Jan) since ‘The Queen Is Dead’ came out.
There is a great article in this months Uncut magazine with interviews with Messrs Marr, Joyce and Rourke.
I’ve kicked the Titanic obsession and am now in full Smiths fan mode – Hand me my cardigan!
But seriously, I didn’t know there where 2 different versions of ‘Boy With A Thorn In His Side’ until today.
And there will be a box set coming out this year. 9-12 minute version of 'The Queen Is Dead'

The BBC headline said ' Human bird flu spreads in Turkey'.

Public Service Announcement.
Billy Bragg box set, 7 CD’s and 2 DVDs are out in February. That’s February in the states, don’t know of it has a local distributor yet. But that’s why God invented Amazon.
Apparently IRS are re-issuing some early REM albums as well. At this stage no word on how exactly, but nevertheless, save those pennies.
Cocteau Twins B-sides and singles compilation out in February as well. (Link goes to the box set, the normal release should be 2 x 2 CD's)
